Mixed Media Art Classes ~ June – August 2025

Classes are running at the Mixed Media Art Studio – Melbourne, Australia – in our wonderful, fully air-conditioned studio with in a supportive atmosphere! Come along for Art Journaling Fundamentals, Gel Printing Fundamentals, Junk Journal class or Collage Clusters class. Plus our June Winter Open Studio sessions!

Using the Mixed Media Art DIY Envelope template 

Michelle is playing with the Mixed Media Art DIY Envelope template to create a decorated C6 envelope that can be given as a gift or added to our art journal page, to hide a journaling block or tuck ephemera into it. It’s being decorated with Archival inks, stencils and transfers.

Using STENCIL BUTTERS with stencils!

With so many colours to choose from, The Crafters Workshop STENCIL BUTTERS are so much fun to add sparkle and dimension to you mixed media projects. Michelle loves to use the creamy, sparkly Stencil Butters in her mixed media art journals and junk journals, as well as on top of gel prints and printed ephemera.

Adding colour to your chipboard

Break out that CHIPBOARD STASH and add colour to our chipboard embellishments for our mixed media projects. In this video, Michelle runs through the different types of chipboard, using gesso, then demonstrates four different ways to add colour to your embellishments, making sure they match your art journal background or mixed media canvas perfectly!

Home Middle #2 Widget

This is a widgeted area which is called Home Middle #2. It is using the Genesis - Featured Page widget to display what you see on the Metric child theme demo site. To get started, log into your WordPress dashboard, and then go to the Appearance > Widgets screen. There you can drag the Genesis - Featured Page widget into the Home Middle #2 widget area on the right hand side. To get the image to display, simply upload an image through the media uploader on the edit post screen and publish your page. The Featured Page widget will know to display the post image as long as you select that option in the widget interface.
